How to make Ghee

Ghee is brain food! Good for detoxifying the gray matter and supporting the immune system. Below are simple steps to make your Ghee with consistent results. Great fat for baking & cooking Paleo, gluten free,low dairy.

How to make Ghee  (Paleo, GF, SCD)

Ghee 

Ingredients:

8 oz. unsalted organic butter

Equipment:

Small pot

Cook the butter in the small pot over low heat until golden brown.  The butter will be very aromatic and nutty.  The milk solids will sink to the bottom of the pot leaving small white bubbles behind that will eventually disappeared.  Strain if you wish and place the ghee in a small glass jar until cool.  Store in the refrigerator. In the winter, I leave the ghee on the counter as it gets very hard to spread on toast.
